About Me
I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2001, and have worked therapeutically with children and families throughout my career, both in the NHS and the independent sector. I am a certified practitioner in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and an experienced clinical supervisor. I am registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council) and follow their professional standards.
My areas of expertise include:

-
Therapeutic parenting, developmental trauma and child attachment
-
The impact of long term health problems and loss on children and adults
-
Psychological assessment of adults and children.
I use a trauma informed approach to my work with children who have been fostered or adopted, and of course with their parents and carers, including kinship carers.
I provide clinical supervision to other therapists and psychologists.
I provide training and consultation to groups of foster carers and adoptive parents.
I have worked extensively as an expert witness for the family courts.
