About me
I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2001, and have worked therapeutically with children and families throughout my career, both in the NHS and the independent sector. I am a certified practitioner and consultant in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and an experienced clinical supervisor. I am registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council) and follow their professional standards.
My areas of expertise include:

-
Therapy with children, young people and their parents or carers
-
Therapeutic parenting, developmental trauma and child attachment
-
The impact of long term health problems and loss on children and adults
-
Psychological assessment of adults and children.
I provide clinical supervision and training to other therapists and psychologists.
I provide training and consultation to groups of foster carers and adoptive parents.
I have worked extensively as an expert witness for the family courts.
My Approach and Values
The cornerstones of my work are respect and collaboration, whether in therapy with adults and children, or in supervision with colleagues.
Each person’s experience is unique, and my job is to work with you and support you emotionally to make sense of your own particular circumstances and life events.

To this I bring training in Clinical Psychology and in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and over 20 years experience of working therapeutically with children, young people, adults, and families.
Through discussion with you, therapy will be tailored according to your needs.
